BUSHVELD/GAME DRIVE DAY TOUR: BUFFELSDRIFT – RUST DE WINTER – LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Day Tour Itinerary

07h00: Meet at the office of MacFarlane Executive Travel & Tours in the tranquil surroundings of Irene, where you’ll enjoy early morning traditional ‘moer koffie’ and an assortment of rusks.

08h00: Depart in luxury vehicles from MacFarlane Executive Travel & Tours; enjoy a comfortable drive for an unforgettable day experience in the heart of the Limpopo Province bushveld. Enjoy refreshments served by our on board hostess during the approximately one-hour travel time to Buffelsdrift in the area of Rust De Winter, where you will enjoy typical bushveld scenery and the abundance of game.

09h00: Arrive at Buffelsdrift, stretch your legs and become acquainted with the bushveld before we depart on an open game vehicle for an exciting game drive.

O9h30: Board the open game vehicle for an approximately two-hour game drive in the bushveld of Buffelsdrift Farm. Discover the many different buck species, get close to rhino, and enjoy herds of blue wildebeest/gnu, the graceful giraffe, zebra… Listen to, and observe, the abundance of different bird species while sipping your chilled drink in the fresh bushveld air.

11h30: Back at the main camp you will enjoy a traditional open air bushveld brunch accompanied by your favourite drink. Expertly prepared meals include a variety of mouth-watering traditional South African dishes. After lunch, enjoy a short walk or simply relax while absorbing the bushveld experience.

14h30: Depart from Buffelsdrift in the luxury of the MacFarlane vehicles. After a short drive you will enjoy a stopover at one of the local shebeens (taverns) where you can enjoy a drink or two in true shebeen-style, taking pleasure in the traditional culture of the area.

15h30: Board the MacFarlane Executive Travel & Tours vehicles, enjoy a DVD of choice or simply chat away about the day’s unforgettable experiences while we ensure you have a safe journey back to Irene.

16h30: Arrive at MacFarlane Executive Travel & Tours in Irene where you can either enjoy a drink with us in our cosy pub or, sadly, say goodbye… Until the next time!

Scrambled eggs with feta cheese and topped with grilled black mushrooms, with caramelised onion rings and grilled bacon.
Traditional South African boerewors in a rich tomato and onion gravy and topped with mini pap medallions stuffed with spinach.

Scrambled eggs with feta cheese and topped with grilled black mushrooms, with caramelised onion rings and grilled bacon.
Medallions of pap topped with a rich red wine kudu potjie.

All served with:

Fresh ciabbata and French breads toasted on the coals

DAY TOUR 2

Ingwenya African spa

This is a day trip package which starts when you are collected by luxury MacFarlane vehicle from your lodge/hotel or home, for your comfortable and relaxed journey to Ingwenya Spa. Along the way you’ll enjoy champagne and orange juice and croissants. The day is spent being pampered with hot stone massages, head massages, body wraps, exfoliation, foot and hand massages, jacuzzis and lazing around the pool areas. Lunch is included in the package.

MacFarlane will then return you to your establishment, once again enjoying refreshments on the way, in order for you to maintain your relaxed sense of wellbeing.

The Market Place is the only permanent market in the Northern suburbs and is apart of The Brightwater Commons family.
